Hot water filter HOT. Counteract the abrasive sludge* constantly circulating in the heating circuit and protect your heating system. You can recognize the hot water filters by their red filter housing. The hot water filter housings are temperature-resistant up to 80°C and can also be used at high water temperatures. They are pressure-resistant up to 8 bar.

The Senior Plus HOT filter housings are made entirely of reinforced nylon (filter head, filter ring, and filter cup) – even the vent screw is made of nylon. The hot water filter housings are suitable for the filtration and treatment of drinking water, domestic water, waste water, and heating water. They also protect your faucets, boilers, water pumps, water tanks, washing machines, and other technical systems and pipes.

The biggest enemy of all heating systems lies in the water circuit. When the heating system is filled with water, oxygen inevitably enters the system. The result is corrosion, rust sludge, and sometimes even algae growth. Abrasive sludge* constantly circulates through the heating circuit as a product of this decomposition. Radiators, boilers, and pipes become increasingly encrusted, while pumps and valves gradually become clogged.

This sludge buildup causes widespread disruptions throughout the entire system. Even flushing with demineralized water or replacing the heating water is only a temporary and expensive solution, because the fresh water, with its high oxygen content, promotes rapid rust formation and renewed sludge buildup.

Basic cleaning - heating system with Atlas Filtri

For basic cleaning of your existing system, we recommend using the following filters:

  1. Hot sediment filter 25µm, duration of use for the 1st week
  2. Hot sediment filter 10µm, duration of use from the 2nd week
  3. if necessary, a 2nd hot sediment filter 10µm for another 2 weeks
  4. Hot sediment filter 5µm, operating time from the 4th week for continuous operation up to 12 months

Regular filter changes should then be performed once a year, before the next heating season. These specifications apply to a single-family home. For multi-family homes or larger heating systems, 20" filter housings and 20" filter inserts are also available. Prices upon request.
