    Aquafilter® Sediment Filter 10" 5µm - Water Filter

    The Aquafilter® sediment filter, with a filter mesh of 5µm , is suitable as a prefilter for reverse osmosis systems and water filters . This Aquafilter® sediment filter is available in a melt-blown quality with high mechanical strength as the filter medium, without an inner core or end caps. The Aquafilter® sediment filter is made of a polypropylene nonwoven PP with an embossed surface.

    Sediment filters are water filter cartridges for deep filtration of fine particles. Sediment filters made of a polypropylene fleece reliably capture and remove the finest sediment and particles from the water, providing maximum sediment retention capacity. The polypropylene filter medium guarantees a high degree of chemical compatibility, making Aquafilter® sediment filters suitable for all technical applications and for domestic use.

    Filtration

    • The Aquafilter® sediment filter removes fine particles down to 5µm, as well as sand, limescale, rust, silt, and organic particles. It offers excellent filtration with low pressure drop and is resistant to chemicals and microbial growth.

    Application

    • as a pre-filter for reverse osmosis systems and water filters
    • Fits all 10" filter housings with flat seals, for example in all 10" reverse osmosis systems
    • also suitable for DP, 3P, 2P water filter housings from Atlas Filtri® with SX flat seal
    • We recommend using the 5µm sediment filter in combination with a 1µm sediment filter for optimal filtration.
    • to use the 5µm as the first filter stage in reverse osmosis systems and
    • the 1µm sediment filter as a fine filter and membrane protection filter in reverse osmosis systems
