Teflon tape PTFE - thread sealing tape sealing tape

The Teflon PTFE thread sealing tape is used to install and seal all connection fittings on the reverse osmosis system. It must be wrapped tightly around the thread to ensure a permanent seal. The direction can be determined by the rotation of the thread. In Germany, a right-hand thread is usually used.

Installing thread sealing tape

We recommend using a 0.1 mm thick Teflon tape for sealing; typically, three to four wraps are sufficient to seal the respective connection. If a thinner thread sealing tape is used, such as 0.075 mm, the number of wraps will increase to approximately five to six layers.

Application

• for sealing / installation of very fine threads
• e.g. fittings on reverse osmosis systems, water connection
• as an alternative to hemp for the fine installation of threads
• Apply directly to the thread in approx. 3-4 or up to 6-8 layers without any tools
• the number of layers depends on the processing of the thread
• The coarser the thread, the more layers are necessary for sealing
